  • Bank account number
  • Data about your activity on our website

Special and/or sensitive personal data we process

Our website and/or service does not intend to collect data about website visitors under the age of 16, unless they have permission from a parent or guardian. However, we cannot verify whether a visitor is over 16. We therefore advise parents to be involved in their children's online activities, to prevent data about children being collected without parental consent. If you are convinced that we have collected personal data about a minor without such consent, please contact us at info@homan.nl and we will delete this information.

Purpose and legal basis for processing personal data

E.T.B. Homan B.V. processes your personal data for the following purposes:

  • Processing your payment
  • Being able to call or email you where necessary to carry out our services
  • E.T.B. Homan B.V. also processes personal data where we are legally obliged to do so, such as data we need for our tax return

Automated decision-making

E.T.B. Homan B.V. does not take decisions based on automated processing about matters that could have (significant) consequences for individuals. This concerns decisions taken by computer programs or systems without human involvement (for example, an employee of E.T.B. Homan B.V.).

How long we keep personal data

E.T.B. Homan B.V. does not keep your personal data for longer than is strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data is collected.

Sharing personal data with third parties

E.T.B. Homan B.V. does not sell your data to third parties and only provides it where necessary for the performance of our agreement with you or to comply with a legal obligation. With companies that process your data on our behalf, we conclude a data processing agreement to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your data. E.T.B. Homan B.V. remains responsible for this processing.

Cookies, or similar technologies, that we use

E.T.B. Homan B.V. only uses technical and functional cookies, and analytical cookies that do not infringe your privacy. A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your computer, tablet or smartphone when you first visit this website. The cookies we use are necessary for the technical operation of the website and for your ease of use. They ensure that the website works properly and remember, for example, your preferred settings. They also allow us to optimise our website. You can opt out of cookies by setting your internet browser so that it no longer stores cookies. In addition, you can delete all information previously stored via your browser settings.

Website and analytics

Our website keeps anonymous visitor statistics to see which pages are viewed and how the site is used. For this, your browser stores a randomly generated visitor ID (in your browser’s localStorage). For each page view we record the page path, the referring website, the browser type and language, and the screen size. Your IP address is not stored. This data cannot be traced back to you as a person.

The website is hosted by Vercel. Data you provide to us through the website, such as a quote request, is stored with Supabase on servers within the European Union.

When you upload a letter from your grid operator as part of a request, that document is temporarily sent to Anthropic (Claude) to read out the details automatically. The document is not retained there.

On product pages we show videos from YouTube. These only load after you click on them. When playing, YouTube (Google) may place cookies; Google’s privacy policy applies to those.

Accessing, amending or deleting data

You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data. In addition, you have the right to withdraw any consent you have given for data processing or to object to the processing of your personal data by E.T.B. Homan B.V., and you have the right to data portability. This means you can submit a request to us to send the personal data we hold about you in a computer file to you or to another organisation named by you.

You can send a request for access, correction, deletion or transfer of your personal data, or a request to withdraw your consent or to object to the processing of your personal data, to privacy@homan.nl.

To make sure the access request has been made by you, we ask you to enclose a copy of your identity document with the request. In this copy, black out your passport photo, the MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip of numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and citizen service number (BSN). This is to protect your privacy. We will respond to your request as quickly as possible, and within four weeks at the latest.

E.T.B. Homan B.V. would also like to point out that you have the option of lodging a complaint with the national supervisory authority, the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).

How we protect personal data

E.T.B. Homan B.V. takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorised access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorised modification. If you have the impression that your data is not properly secured or there are indications of misuse, please contact us at info@homan.nl.
